Right or Wrong?

Doing wrong leads to disgrace and scandalous behavior brings contempt
Proverbs 18:3
We have been created with willpower to do good or bad, right or wrong. As mothers, sisters and wives there are thousands of ways we are tempted to do wrong, act wrong and think wrong. When you have the spirit of God in you, he will order your steps, guiding you right and his words in you will be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Ananias and Sapphira did wrong by trying to deceive the apostles and was disgraced by the holy spirit and this brought about their death.
Children act up a lot because they are children and filled with curiosity not being aware of the dangers most times. You can choose to be harsh with them and regret later or be loving in your corrections bringing them closer to you.
When you act wrongly towards your spouse, children, friends and acquaintances most times you become  embarrassed at yourself (your foot in your mouth).
Children of God allow God to guide us in our behavior, it is written we should be quick to listen and slow to speak and as we said yesterday, esteem others higher than yourself then you would do no wrong by them.

Are you wise!

"So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise"
Ephesian 5:15
The way we live shows who we believe in. When you believe in Jesus Christ, you should live like one who has hope and faith. Inspite of your circumstances at any present time, we should not allow it to control us like a wind blowing leaves on the ground but as one who is standing on a rock. Live like one that has the knowledge that everything that has a beginning has an ending, live like one who has a God who is the almighty, divine provider and sufficient for all our needs.
A wise man knows there is time for everything and everyone under heavens and therefore no need to worry (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Pathway!

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.
Psalm 65:11
Tread Where Jesus Treads
Regardless of what experts say about the current economic situation, I have good news for you. As a child of God, your blessings this year are not dependent on the ebb and flow of the stock market. You can expect good things to happen to you this year because God’s Word declares it: “You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance”!
"God’s Word says it, but how do I see it?”
Great question! The key to experiencing the blessings lies in Psalm 65:11 itself—“Your paths drip with abundance”. In order to see His paths dripping with abundance, you would need to follow Him, wouldn’t you? So to experience the Lord’s goodness and abundance this year, keep listening to and beholding His grace and finished work. It’s easy to follow His leading when you are tuned to and meditating on His grace. And when you tread where He treads, you will run right into the blessings that He has already prepared for you! what sort of man is he?

what sort of man was he?" the King demanded. "what did he look like?"
2Kings1:7
That is a king requesting for deescription of the man that gave God's message to his servants. By theeir description he could identify him as Elijah. Howw are we idsntjified? as God's children or as lukewadm christains. Our charactsr should diffsrentiate us from otherss. We should be caring where others find it hard to be. As different as light is from darkness so should we be from unbelievers. When we separate then he will prove the message of Christ true in our lives.
Elijah was identified by his dressing,he couldn't be mistaken for another. A lot of people runafter miracles and they are getting it but still don't regard christains. Therefore let our lifestyle makes us identifiable like Elijah's dressing.

Inquire

And Jehoshaphat said unto the King of Israel, Enquire, i pray thee, at the word of the Lord today.
 IKings22:5(KJV)
This verse makes us to think of how we have lived our lives as children of God and whether we are living on our own terms or God's terms. Do we inquire of the Lord before we take decisions on issues affecting our lives, families, jobs, careers, ministries etc.?
We should know that the song "i surrender all" should mean more than it being a song and we should take it literally, live it literally and be the difference that the world needs.
We need to inquire of the Lord at all times if we have surrendered all. The NLT bible writes the passage more clearly Ikings22:5"Then Jehoshaphat added, "But first let's find out what the Lord says." That is a King still taking it into consideration that there is the King of kings. We should always remeber we have a God whose thoughts for us is for good and not for evil..........Jeremiah 29:11.

God's Word Causes Radical Change

by Rick Warren
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT)
I was once asked what the best translation of the Bible was. My answer: when you translate it into your life. That’s what Bible study is all about. If you’re not translating God’s Word into your life, you’re not studying the Bible the way God intended.
God gave us the Bible to transform us, not simply inform us. It should give us a bigger heart, not a bigger head. In the Book of James, we're told, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says” (James 1:22 NIV).
In other words, God wants our beliefs turned into behavior.
God makes his purpose for the Bible even more explicit in 2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work” (NLT).
The purpose of the Bible is more than just showing us what is wrong in our lives or how we should live. God gave us his Word to radically transform our lives.
The Bible describes itself in different ways. For example, it calls itself a hammer, a sword, and a scalpel. All of those are tools designed to make radical changes. God intends for the Bible to dramatically change our lives.
The Bible also describes God’s truth as milk, water, bread, and meat. What do all those things have in common? If you don’t eat or drink them regularly, you’ll die. We were never meant to live without the Bible.
The Bible is essential to our lives because it gives us life. In fact, the Bible also talks about Jesus as the Word of God. John 1:14 says, “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” God gave you the Living Word —Jesus — to be the author and finisher of your faith, and he gave you the written Word to prepare you to live out your faith.
Talk It Over
  • The Bible is more than a mere wisdom dispenser or repository of information. How do you see God using the Bible to transform your life?
  • Jesus is the Word of God. Talk about how intimacy with the Bible is connected to intimacy with Jesus

What is your life?

What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
James 4:14 (NKJV)
Are you aware that our lives is just like the sugar ants that crawl around when something sweet has been spilt and dies when we begin to clean the place. We were created for God's pleasure, to worship and praise him, when we fail to do so then we are making costly mistakes that will cost us our blessings, favor and even our health. IIJohn 5:4 "for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." therefore when we leave God out of our lives, what then is our lives? i ask myself this question. Please ask yourself too.

Testing

Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but the Lord tests the heart
Proverbs 17:3
In everything that we do or learn in life, a period of testing is involved to ensures that we are good or very good at what we learn. So it is spiritually, we need to go through trial moments to enable us to grow from glory to glory and for our hearts to be right with God. When we have trials our heart will reflect whether we have trust in God or not. Do we depend on him or not.
The Lord tests our heart so that as fire purifies silver and gold, we can also be purified and in the hour of trial we would stand! When our hearts become purified then we can know God's will and be able to walk on the straight and narrow. Proverbs 14:12-"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end therefore are ways of death."

Phillipians 4:19

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus"
Phillipians 4:19
This promise stands for as many as trust in God for provisions no matter what type of provisions that person needs. Our God is able to supply all we need as individuals or as families without going bankrupt!
We all need this God, a father that loves untirely or unceasingly with no bounds even before we love him.
He promises us love when lonely, calm when in chaos, joy when sad and healing in sickness.
His promise is for me and you!

From Joseph Prince

But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Isaiah 53:5, NLT
Both Forgiveness And Healing Are Yours
God loves you so much that He not only caused Jesus to carry your sins, but also your diseases at the cross. Your forgiveness and healing are both part of Jesus’ finished work at Calvary. He was crushed for your sins, and He was also scourged for your healing!
My friend, God has already healed you of all your diseases, afflictions and pains at the cross. You might have heard it taught that healing is a “bonus blessing” because it’s over and on top of salvation. But nothing could be further from the truth. Your salvation, purchased by Jesus at the cross, includes healing.
Today, because of the cross of Jesus, you have the right to complete wholeness, both within and without. Meditate on this powerful truth and receive the healing you are believing Him for!

Encouraged!

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace and be thankful.

Colossians 3:15

It has been a struggle to keep up with my writeups but i believe God will help me. When i remember how the disciples was finding it difficult to find time to pray and teach God's word because they were caring for the needy and how they took a major decision to bring in the Seven led by Stephen to take over the task and got them the much needed time, i begin to think it is time for to take such a decision.
It is written that i have been called to peace and also to cast all your cares upon the Lord for he cares for me!
The peace that surpasses understanding is His to give and we can only access it when we run to him.

b

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10
God Is Not Out To Destroy You
The Bible tells us clearly that God is a God of love, and our God of love is a good God! He is a God who longs to do good to His people. In fact, God desires to load His children with benefits every day (Psalm 68:19)!
My friend, don’t ever be mistaken that a good God will give you sicknesses, diseases and all sorts of physical afflictions. God is constant and constantly good. Sicknesses, on the other hand, are always bad. They are part of the curse. Their purpose is to destroy a person.
Our good God gave us His Son, Jesus, so that you may not be destroyed but have life, and have it more abundantly! The Lord does not take away your life. Instead, He gives, multiplies and restores to you life and health. The more you meditate on and believe His love and goodness toward you, the more you’ll walk in an increasing measure of His health, wholeness and abundant life!
