Direct Access

1Timothy2:5-6.(KJV)  "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."    We praise God that today we don't need to go through any priest or prayer guru to get access to God. All we need do is accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour and we have direct access to God. After all as a child to your earthly father you don't go through a servant to see him not to talk of our heavenly Father who had loved us with an everlasting love (Jer.31:3a). So draw near to God and he will draw near to you.
I pray Lord for the grace to draw close to you even when obstacles abound in Jesus name. Amen.

Acceptable Service!

Romans 12:1.(KJV) "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."      
      God is a loving Father and doesn't force his will on us. He expects us to reciprocate his unending love for us by making ourselves available for his guidance. A child can hardly be corrected if he is far away from his parents because you can only weed a farmland that you see the weeds. Lets come close to God because only him can help our bodies to be holy and acceptable. Good morning , may your day be bright in Jesus name. Amen.

Psalm 95:1-2.(KJV) "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms."                   God has made everything available to us by giving us life and his grace which is ever sufficient. We owe God our thanksgiving when we wake up each  morning with or without complications, it's just great that we woke up. My Strength!

Ephesians 6:10.(KJV) "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might."
      Let our strength not be of ourselves, not of which man we know or wealth we have but rather let it be from the knowledge that God in whose hand   heaven and earth and all that is in it resides. Let it be of God who is strong in all ways especially in our weakness. Therefore blessed one let your strength to do all things and be all things rest in God.  May God's righteous right hand uphold you this week in Jesus name. Amen.

He is in Charge!

Psalm 91:2.(KJV) "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."
      My God is a steadfast God, he is ever faithful (Ps.146:6), ever loving and ever merciful! (Ps.145:8-9). There is none like my God. When our trust is in him, nothing  can shake us because he is in charge of everything (Rev.1:8). Lord take  charge of my life and every thing that concerns me in Jesus name. Amen! Happy Sunday.

Patience from above!

Hebrews 10:35-36.(KJV) "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."
          As a child of God, in our daily living and interactions with others, we should always be ready to shine out because of the presence of God's light in us. Our approval of right doing should be from God and not man. Let us never be discouraged by wrong responses to our kindness but rather let the righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost build the patience we need to be steadfast in serving God because we need a lot of patience to avoid being pulled down by people's wrong attitudes in the face of our kindness. Therefore, lets look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith for help at all times (Heb12 2-3). Remain blessed.

Hebrews 4:15. (KJV) "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."
         Our Father can relate to everything we are facing in the world. We are to come to God without fear but with the knowledge that we are truly loved and would receive help to excel and succeed when we ask for it. Don't ever feel God can not understand what you are going through because God does (Heb4:15-16). Enjoy your weekend.

Loving like God

Jeremiah 31:3.(KJV) "The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."
                The Lord's love for us is the type that lasts forever, we did nothing to earn it and we can do nothing to lose it but we can turn away from it or reject it but it would always be there. Lets have this kind of love for each other, this is God's wish for us (Math 22:39). May this week favour you in Jesus name. Amen.

God's Love

Leveticus 19:18.(KJV) "Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord."
      He is the Lord that loved us and gave his only begotten son to die for us while we were yet sinners. So, yes we should not avenge because the God we serve didn't avenge our sins but rather showered us with mercy and compassion and gave us a way of escape from the grip of sin. If we say God is our Father then we should love the way he loves (Math.5:44-45). Let your day be filled with love from all sides.

Real Rest!

Mathew 11:28.(KJV) "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
          We all need rest within, not just rest of lying down to sleep or just lounging. It is a rest of Jesus sleeping in a boat in the midst of a storm, of Peter sleeping while in chains in the midst of two soldiers awaiting his trial! This is the rest that exists in God and the type that we need for a long, healthy and right  living. For you that is in Christ, remain in him and for you that is yet to be, run to him today. Hebrews 12:14.(KJV) "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:"
          The word of God said with All men not with your family or friends only but it includes even those we consider enemies. Let us always hunger to be at peace with all people  ( not become a doormat!) but by being wise in handling any situation we find ourselves in, palatable or otherwise. Remember obedience is better than sacrifice! As we step into this month of fullness of joy, lets make up our minds to be obedient children of God. Happy new month!

Delight in the Word!

Psalm 119:143.(KJV) "Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights."
         No matter what we are facing in our lives, the presence of God in our lives helps us to stand because he has promised never to leave us nor forsake us (Heb13 :5b). If we believe God and his word, no troubles or adversity can pull us down. Troubles and adversity in the life of a child of God who looks unto God should be like  Peter in chains between two soldiers with no way to escape and slept  soundly because he knew his God was in charge. In every situation you are in, hold on because help shall certainly come as you delight in God's word. May God's love be a banner over you this week in Jesus name. Amen!

True humility

Proverbs 18:12.(KJV) "Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility."
        Our Lord Jesus Christ while on earth was so humble and compassionate that he did not discriminate who he interacted with. A lot of christains walk with head held high attitude as if temptations comes to a particular set of people. An attitude of don't dirty (as they would say) they would display towards those they deem too sinful. Christians should be humbled by the fact that their sins are no longer imputed to them, so, instead of being haughty or prideful in our salvation, we should hunger to bring as many as possible to God's Kingdom to enjoy the liberty that comes with being saved. Then will God honour us in the now and in the later (Rev. 22:12).  Have a great weekend.

Humility

Proverbs 11:2.(KJV) "When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom."
           When we are puffed up with pride like Robin the bird, we can't see the path before us or our feet and we walk into situations we could have avoided had we exercised humility. Another disadvantage of pride is that we become unteachable, we automatically assume we know it all. We have to be humble in our spirits to hear clearly from God and follow accordingly. Colossians 1:17-18.(KJV) "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence."
        The fullness and completeness we need is in Christ Jesus. If we don't have Jesus Christ in our lives, there will always be an emptiness no matter what we own or who we think we are. We all need Jesus Christ. Look unto Jesus today. Enjoy!

The Word

Deuteronomy 6:6-7.(KJV) "And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."              The word of God should be our constant companion. We should read it,study it, memorise it, meditate on it and teach it. When we do this, we learn more of our heavenly Father and what pleases him. 1 Peter 3:12-13.(KJV)  "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?"

Things Above!

Colossians 3:1-2.(NKJV) "If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth."
        Our hearts needs to be set on the things that are important to God which are Love, kindness, compassion, humility, peace, holiness and joy in the Holy Ghost. If we have chosen to make Jesus Christ our personal Lord and Saviour, we have to live our lives as he did showing compassion in actions to all that he came in contact with who accepted him. When we put God before us daily, we will be conscious of taking seriously what God takes serious. The salvation of souls is important to God, lets make it important to ourselves also because those that win souls are wise (Prov.11:30). God wants us in heaven with him, we shall not lose our direction and we shall be under divine guidance today in Jesus name. Amen.

Ephesians 5:1-2.(NKJV) "Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.  And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma."
       God gave his only begotten son to die for us to have salvation and direct access to Him, that is how much he loves us (John 3:16). If we appreciate God's gift to us then we replicate that level of love in our daily living, not to die for anyone but making it most important to show compassion and care for those that we come in contact with as this would please God. If you know the pleasure that fills your heart when a child or friend reciprocates your love in actions then imagine God's pleasure when we against all odds please Him. Transform.

2 corinthians 3:18.(KJV) "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
           Just as gold in liquid form turns into a particular shape of mold it is poured into so do we as children of God transform from sinful living to a life of sanctification when we pour ourselves into God. We can only be transformed by studying God's word and not just by wishing (Rom12:2). In this new month, lets us determine to gaze upon God through his word and be daily transformed . God's goodness

           We are one of God's goodness in the world. This is enough reason to be thankful. If we are one of God's goodness on earth then we ought to show forth that goodness in our daily living because God loves righteousness. As we are elated when our siblings or children behave right, God is more than elated when we believe right and behave right. Determine today to enjoy being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.                      Everything that goes on in our lives is known by God. He is always ready to help us, all we need to do is call him and he will answer us. Every problem has a solution in Jesus Christ, so do not be filled with fear over any situation facing you or you find your self in because we have a God who always makes us to triumph (2Corth2:14). James 5:16.(KJV) "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
          This is an instruction to every child of God, that we should pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ that are sick. Sickness can be physical, spiritual, mental or psychological. We do not need to gossip about it, all we need do is pray that the individual should begin to enjoy the healing and true liberty in Christ Jesus. If you are bothered about a particular person or some people's behaviour in the body Christ, your office or home, the best solution is to pray as discussion or meditation on it will not cause a change. Jesus Christ depended on prayers to see him through his assignment on earth, therefore we that believe in him should also depend on it to see us through our Christian race. God's grace is sufficient for us. Enjoy your day.

No fear in love!

1John 4:18.(KJV) "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
       If we accept the love God has for us, we are made perfect though there exists in us so many imperfections. Jesus Christ is perfect and he came and died for us taking on our imperfections and giving his perfection to as many as would believe in him and accept Him as their personal Lord and saviour. With this acceptance, we become as he is (1John 4:17b), filled with love, power, sound mind and assurance of victory. Therefore if you are filled with uncertainty or fear over anything, open your heart to the one who can make dried bones to rise again and receive peace. May the banner over you today be God's love in Jesus name.

Joshua 1:9.(KJV) "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
       This promise is also to us that believe in God. Wherever we find ourselves or whoever we are working with, there is no need to entertain fear of failure or of any sort because he who has promised is faithful to fulfill it. The Psalmist prays "Give your angels charge over me " (Psalm 91:11) because he believed that  God is able to do this. We also pray "God give us the grace to trust in you completely and not be shaken by what we see or hear and may our lives be filled with favour today and the week ahead in Jesus name! Amen.

1John 3:16.(KJV) "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."
          This does not mean to kill yourself for someone as that would be suicide. It means to be practical in our love for others, not just saying we love and care while not bothering to come to the aid of the person in need. God loved us practically by giving His only son (John 3:16), we need to follow God's footsteps by being practical in our love too (1John 3:18) not with mere words but with actions . Romans 8:2.(KJV) "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
            Life in Christ Jesus is a wonderful life. It gives us access to grace to live the way God planned for us to live. This life enables us not to be moved by what we see or hear but to stand and believe in God's word which makes us more than conquerors and begin to see its manifestation. The law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus has made you and I the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus if we confess him as our  personal Lord and saviour. Help us Lord not to miss this life in Jesus name. Walk by faith and not by sight today.

Whose image?

1 John 4:10.(NIV) "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."              Praise God! While we were still deep in sin, God loved us and offered forgiveness, why then do we hold onto grudges? If we are created in the image of God then we should strive to follow His example by showing same type of love to each other (1John 4:11), love without conditions . As humans this way of life can not satisfy if we are led by the flesh but as new creatures in Christ Jesus we are no longer led by flesh but by the Holy Spirit which in turn enables us to do all things (Phil4 :13). Lets open our hearts to God and allow His love to flow in to us and out to others today (1John 4:16b).

Greater glory!

Romans 8:18.(NIV) "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."
         As children of God, we are raw gold. To get a beautiful gold trinket/ jewellery it has to go through so hot a fire to clear impurities and then bring forth a beautiful jewellery. Therefore whatever we are passing through now should not be enough to make us lose hope  but rather it should make us to hold tighter to the Almighty God, our Father in heaven who never fails. May your heart be filled with hope today in Jesus name. Amen.

Wait!

(Apologies for the absence) Proverbs 20:22.(NIV)  "Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the Lord, and he will avenge you."
                     This we ought to be doing as children of God because we should have the knowledge that God is Almighty! He can call us home at anytime and his commandment to occupy till he comes does not mean being busy doing unnecessary things that would not add peace and joy  to your life. God has promised to fight our battles while we hold our peace (Ex14:14), we need no other assurance because my  God's word is true. Let us hold onto the peace that God has promised us (Phil4 :7) and we will be more than conquerors in every way . May the favour of God overshadow you as you step from June to July. Resisting!

James 4:7.(NIV) "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
                     On our own we cannot resist anything or anyone except by the help of God.  All we need to do is receive the free gift of salvation which contains victory over all things spiritual and physical and be a doer of God's word and  the devil shall be adequately resisted. The Word

Psalm 119:114.(NIV) "You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word."
                    Concerning our homes, jobs, businesses, in fact everything about  us there is a word from God on it. God has promised to perfect everything that concerns us (Psalm118:8a), we only need to believe! Lets lay down all issues trying to steal our peace before God and take on his promised peace (Phil4 :7) by putting our hope in His word today and always. Have a joyful weekend.

2 chronicles 7:14.(NIV) "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
                       This is God's promise to his children. No matter what is before you or what pain that you are feeling be it emotional, physical or mental, God said he will heal us of them all if we change, pray and call on  him. Today is another wonderful day to call on God to step into your situation no matter how difficult or impossible you believe it to be, call on the impossibility specialist (Math19:26) and he will do what he does best. This day is for you enjoy it because the Lord is working for you in ways you can't see.

Romans 15:5-6.(NIV) "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,  so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."                       We pray for the same spirit that Jesus Christ has that enables  him to love us unconditionally so that we too could love unconditionally and have compassion for people. With this kind of mindset we will become what God intended his children to be, different parts of a body working very well together as we would be oiled with love (1Corth12:25-26). Titus 2:11-12.(NIV) "For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.  It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,"
         We are called to live upright lives not uptight lives! Judging no one, loving without discrimination because that is the way God loves us. No to worldly passions that cause us to forget our place in God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of calvary. This way of life that my Father in heaven expects from us is possible if we have Jesus Christ in our lives who through the  Holy Spirit teaches us all things and enables us to make the right choices. True light

John 1:5.(NIV) "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
                      There are many things that represents darkness. It can be sickness, lack, failure, depression, unhappiness, different types of troubles but if we believe in God who is light, he will make ways for us where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19-20). Nothing can overcome the light of God. May his light shine in us, through us and touch the life of others in Jesus name. Amen.

In Charge!

Galatians 2:20.(NIV) "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
   When we receive Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and saviour, we no longer need to depend on our own understanding of a situation to solve it. We just need to understand we have a God who is in charge of all things whom we trust to help us (Prov3 :5-6) and a peace that surpasses all understanding shall be ours (Phil4 :7). Lets live our lives with the knowledge that the creator of life is in charge of our lives because we are his and refuse to be troubled by situations around us because Jesus Christ has overcome the world.  Lets commit to God.

Fix your eyes !

Hebrew 12:2.(NIV) "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
         What are you facing now? What kind of challenges are you allowing to cripple you? Jesus Christ did not consider or concentrate on the pain or shame of being killed in the most disgraceful way but rather concentrated on the divine reconciliation that would be achieved by his sacrifice and he prevailed. If we have Jesus Christ in life lives, then when situations become tough we become tougher by looking unto the one who overcame all (Heb12:2) and hold unto his promises. If Jesus Christ did not give up in the face of challenges then we also have nothing to fear. Have a lovely weekend.

God's mercy

Psalm 51:1-2.(NIV)  "Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.  Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin."
      God our loving Father is always ready to forgive us if we can turn to him. The forgiveness of our sins is always available in Christ Jesus but we need to reach out and accept it. Let's humble ourselves and pray to access the ever present mercy in God (2Chron7:14). Good evening and may your day be blessed.

Romans 12:3.(NIV) "For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you."
           This a guide on how to act in any relationship, be it master / servant, husband and wife, employer/ employees, partners etc. Everyone is important, no one is more important, rather we are all chained together like a train in the wheel of any event we embark on. We need each other to succeed whether as the top person or the assumed lower person. When we become aware that we ride on each other's effort to succeed whether in the spiritual area or secular, we become humbled and able to appreciate others (Rom12:4-10 (KJV) ). Good morning. John13:34-35.(NIV)  “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
            How do you know  a person in a particular profession? For a doctor, you know them even outside  the hospital by their interest in any sick person brought to their notice. They try to alleviate the suffering of the sick person because it is their stock in trade. Our stock in trade as children of God is to love and show love without Judging because that is how God loved us. May God's banner over you always be love in Jesus name. Amen. Good morning.

Lifted for victory!

Psalm118.16.(NIV) "The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
               For us to wake this morning healthy and of sound mind, God did it. For us to have sufficient provisions for all our needs, God did it. For us to be victorious and excel, God did it. In fact there's nothing impossible with God (Mark10:27) . As Moses lifted hands gave Israeli victory (Ex17:11), so will our untiring God's right hand remain lifted on our behalf  in Jesus name. Amen. One Body!

Ephesians 4:25.(NIV) "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbour, for we are all members of one body."
         As Christians we have one body which is God and we are the parts of that body speaking and doing the good God teaches us to do. Just as you can't lie to yourself so you can't lie to God or your fellow Christians if you want to live a fulfilled life of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost! Good morning. The WORD!

James 1:21.(NIV) "Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you."
         Who is the Word? Jesus is the Word! When we accept him into our lives, we accept to hear the Word and then do as it says (Jas1:22). Our affluence cannot save us. Our job, people we know or are connected with cannot save us, only the Word of God can save us. The word of God will open our eyes to see that an action being taken by everyone might not be right. God shall help us to be willing and obedient children in Jesus name. Amen. Good morning and have a victorious week.

TRUE LOVE!

Romans 5:8.(NIV) "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." If God could give us his best, highest and most unimaginable gift while we were not even worth it then there is nothing he can not give us. His peace, joy, wisdom, healing etc is always available for anyone who needs it if only we can run to him (Math11:28). The sacrifice on the cross of calvary is for the world but only those that run to God will access the victory found it. Obedience or Sacrifice

Hello everyone! Sorry to have been away for so long but i give God the glory!!!!
Micah 6:6.(NIV) "With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?"
What can we offer to God? He gave his best for us, loved us while we were yet sinners and had no understanding of true love. Will sacrifice of goats, sheep etc make a difference? The only thing God wants from us is that we accept his love and live in obedience because all his commandments are for our good, saving us from evil entrapment. If we then accept God, we choose to live a life of obedience (studying, meditation  and living the word) as this is the sacrifice acceptable to God (1Sam 15:22). Good morning.
