Before God speaks decie to say yes!

The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit.” (Luke 8:15 TEV)
God speaks to people who decide they’re going to do what he tells them to do, even before he tells them. It’s saying, “God, if you want me to move, I’ll move. If you want me to get married, I’ll get married. If you want me to leave this job, I’ll leave this job. Before you even tell me, my answer is ‘yes.’ Whatever you want me to do, I will do it.”Luke 8:15 says, “The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit” (TEV).
I used to study this parable of Jesus and think it was talking about four kinds of people: those who are resistant, those who are shallow, those who are busy, and those who are good. But this parable actually represents four attitudes. You can have all four attitudes in the same day! One moment you go, “God, I don’t want to hear you, because I know what you’re going to say.” And the next moment you say, “Lord, tell me quick.” Then you hear it and think it’s good, but you don’t do anything about it. Maybe the fruit starts to bear in your life, but then you get busy with your job or school or your kids, and the weeds grow up. Then other times you say, “God, whatever you want. I’m totally open to you.”God wants you to have an attitude of obedience so that you can bear fruit — the biblical term for being successful. God wants you to be fruitful in your business, your family, your friendships, your relationship with God and with others, and your health.
So how do you bear fruit when God tells you something? You pass it on. When God tells you something, the quickest way to let it bear fruit in your life is to tell somebody else what you just learned.Another translation of Luke 8:15 says, “They listen to God’s words and cling to them and steadily spread them to others who also soon believe” (LB). God wants you to pass on to others what you learn.

Parts to play!

John 1:20, 23 "And he confessed,  and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ" verse 23-"He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness,  make straight the way of the Lord,  as said the prophet Esaias"
The startling reality is that each of has a role to fulfil and we are ideally suited for it. IF WE don't do it, then it doesn't get done. Or someone who is already too busy and doesn't have all the gifts necessary for it tries to do it in the bid to fulfill it. The Kingdom is poorer as a result.
Be sure of who you are and what purpose you are on earth for because we are all beautifully and wonderfully made for a purpose.

ONE MOUTH!

Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.” James 1:19 (NLT)
When you’re trying to reconcile with someone, don’t listen for the problem or the issue. Listen for the hurt beneath their complaint, their issue, or their anger.Hurt people hurt people. Healthy people don’t hurt other people. Holy people don’t hurt other people. Happy people don’t hurt other people. It doesn’t matter whether you’re talking about marriage or the market place or the Middle East. When people are hurting, they lash out at others.People around the world are dying for respect. When you treat people with dignity, the anger dissipates quickly, whether it’s with nations or businesses or churches or ethnic groups or your own family. You treat people with respect. What is the greatest way to show people respect? Listen to them, and look them in the eye. In a peace conference, you need to stop and listen to what’s beneath the words they’re saying. What is the hurt they’re expressing?James 1:19 tells us how to do this: “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry” (NLT). God gave you two ears and one mouth. He wants you to listen twice as much as you speak. But we get in a hurry. What you need to do is try to understand the perspective of other people. Don’t just look at the situation from your point of view. St. Francis of Assisi said, “Seek to understand before seeking to be understood.”You’re going to have a hundred chances this week to put this verse into practice. Don’t miss an opportunity to show respect to someone by listening to his or her hurt. Then, you can work toward reconciliation.Talk It OverWith whom do you have conflict? What do you think might be the cause of his or her hurt? How would you rate your listening skills? What gets in the way of taking time to listen to others? What steps can you take to sit down with someone and really listen to his or her heart so that you can work toward reconciliation?

"In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:10
Thank God Always!Do you know that the Greek word for “thank” is charis, the same Greek word used for “grace”? So to be full of grace is to be full of thanksgiving. God wants us to give thanks always. Even when things don’t go well with us, we can choose to have a spirit of thanksgiving because He is faithful and able to work all things out for our good (Romans 8:28).The thing about us is that there can be 10 good things happening to us, yet our human tendency is to focus on the one thing that is negative and fixate on it. We tend to look at what we don’t have, instead of thanking God for what we do have. We need to understand that when we thank God for what we do have, even if it is only “five loaves of bread and two fish,” what we have will be multiplied.
Remember what Jesus did before the five loaves and two fish were multiplied to feed more than 5,000 people? He gave thanks to the Father for the little that He had (Matthew14:17–21, NIV).My friend, cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving and graciousness, and keep it flowing today. Thank God for the parts of your body that are working fine. Thank God for whatever the amount you have in your bank account. Don’t focus on what you don’t have. Count your blessings every day. Thank Him for His presence and grace that make all the difference. Not only will you have more joy, but you will also experience His blessings and increase

Take Break!

by Rick Warren
“It’s useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don’t you know he enjoys giving rest to those he loves?” (Psalm 127:2 MSG)
The Bible says in Mark 12:30, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength” (NLT). Another way to say this is, love God with all your talk, all your feelings, all your thinking, and all of your acting. God shaped you to primarily be either a talker, feeler, thinker, or a doer.
“Doers” love God with their strength. They are the energetic activists of life — the achievers, the accomplishers, the workers, and the people that push things forward and make things happen in the practical sense of life.
What is the purpose of Doers in the world?
The world needs contribution. We don’t just need communication, compassion, and consideration. We’ve got to get to work and do it! We need people of action. We need people with initiative, energy, action, and a bias for achievement.
But, everyone has their flaws, and for doers, it’s overwork. Doers are always working. They never stop to think, and they certainly don’t stop to feel. They are always busy!
God says this in Psalm 127:2, “It’s useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don’t you know he enjoys giving rest to those he loves?” (MSG) If you are a doer, that would be a good verse to put up on the mirror in your bathroom. God wants his loved ones to get their proper rest.
Some of you need to do less. Not less for God, but less in other areas so you’ll have more time to do what matters most.
The Bible says that when you become a believer, God makes you a new person inside: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV).
When you become a believer, your past is forgiven, you have a reason for living, and you have a home in Heaven. Let me tell you something that doesn’t change when you come to Christ: Your personality doesn’t change. God doesn’t slow you down when you come to him. He just changes your direction. In fact, he wants to empower you. Remember, you got your personality from him.
God doesn’t want to make you a clone of everybody else in the way that you worship and serve and love him. He wants you to serve him with your personality. Not only that, but he will strengthen your personality, not dampen it. He’s going to make you more you than you’ve ever been before.
Talk It Over
  • Are you a talker, feeler, thinker, or a doer? Why do you think so?
  • How do you and others see your personality come through in the way you worship and serve?

Back!

Hello friends,
It has been a busy few weeks. I have not really felt ok for some time with one thing after the other coming up but i still give God the praise for all things. In my period of stress i was shown so much love by all my dear ones and i felt extremely blessed and favored!
1Corthians13:3 "And though i bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though i give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing." charity is the same as love .
The most important thing in life is love and is the second greatest commandment in the bible. When you don't know how to show love to your fellow human beings then it is difficult to feel compassionate concerning the trial they are going through at any moment. Love enables us to put ourselves in another shoe of trial and  be ready to be used by God to aid that your brother or sister.
We should seek to have love in us which will in turn makes us humble and not think too highly of ourselves thereby making us proud beings of our ourselves and not of the works of God.

The problem with stuff by Rick Warren

“What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?” (Matthew 16:26 NLT)
Life keeps getting more and more complicated. And, on top of that, we keep adding more and more stuff to our lives. The problem with stuff is, the more you have, the more it takes to take care of it all — the more you have to clean it, the more you have to protect it, the more you have to insure it, and the more you have to repair it.
It isn’t too long before stuff dominates your life. My guess is you probably have more stuff than your parents did. In fact, today we have an entire industry that we didn’t even have 50 years ago. It’s called personal storage units. It’s like you don’t even have enough room in your house any more, so you have to put some of it in a storage unit and pay rent to hold all your stuff!
A lot of people think the whole purpose of life is just to collect stuff. You’ve seen the bumper sticker: “He who dies with the most toys, wins.” The truth is, “He who dies with the most toys ... still dies!”
But your life is not about things. God didn’t design you that way. You were never meant to keep collecting and collecting stuff.
The other day on Twitter (@rickwarren), I sent this message: “When+Then” thinking is a lie: “When I get what I want, then I'll be happy.”
So how much more stuff do you need until you’re happy? In Matthew 16:26, Jesus says, “What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?” (NLT)
Jesus modeled a very simple life. You don’t see him collecting things. He spent his time and energy on relationships — because he knew they were more important than all the stuff in the world.
Talk It Over
  • If someone were to look at your life, what would he say is more important to you: things or relationships?
  • What do you need to change about your attitude toward things so that you can be more like Jesus?

Your Choice

“Today I am giving you a choice between good and evil, between life and death.” (Deuteronomy 30:15 GNT)

We have a choice to do good or bad, to love God or not to. God has given the ability to choose how to live our live though he encourages us to choose life, good and edifying things.
God can not force us to love him or to have faith in Christ his son but he tells us that we are saved by having faith in him though it is still our choice on which road to take. Joshua choose that his family and himself should serve the Lord. We should also choose to follow the Lord because he is the faithful God.
God loves us unconditionally and we should choose him to be our God!

Guard Your Heart

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
Proverbs 4:23, NLT
The Bible tells us that the heart is where the issues of life spring forth. What we allow to enter our hearts will affect our thoughts, actions and even our bodies. In other words, the condition of one’s heart determines the course of one’s life!
That is why Jesus, who bequeathed to us His peace, tells us, “…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). So if we want to walk in His peace and rest, we need to guard our hearts and not let them spiral into negative thoughts, worry and fear. The Book of Wisdom also tells us that a peaceful and cheerful heart promotes health (Proverbs 17:22).
Beloved, there may be many things in our lives that we want to “guard”, such as our families, health or careers. But God wants us to guard our hearts above all else, and He will guard the rest!

Don't let fear rob you of your inheritance (Joseph Prince)

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Moses sent 12 spies into the promised land that God wanted the Israelites to inherit. Two of them, Joshua and Caleb, came back with a good report of the land, saying, “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land…‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’ Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them” (Numbers 14:7–9).
However, the other 10 spies gave a bad report, saying, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we…There we saw the giants…and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight” (Numbers 13:31–33).
All 12 of them saw the same land, the same giants, but what a stark contrast in their reports! Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit—a spirit of faith (Numbers 14:24). They focused on the promises and goodness of God. But the rest cowered in fear and saw only the giants. And the fear paralyzed them!
My friend, today, no matter how dire your circumstances may appear, choose to focus on God’s goodness. Choose to meditate on how Christ has paid the price for you to enjoy God’s unmerited favor, peace, protection and provision. That’s how fear will not paralyze you. That’s how you experience God’s faithfulness and walk in His blessings!

What do you think on?

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philipians 4: 8
Even when you are tempted to think bad about someone, do not for it would yield no result but will rather cause you to speak or act in a way you would regret.
When you are hurt, you can make two choices as achild of God, to speak to the person and offer forgiveness or to ignore the hurt and forgive.
The basic thing is to forgive at all times Mathew 18:22, which is extremely difficult to do if your mind is filled with anger and bitterness (i would know). Our mind is to be purified and can only be so if we follow the directives of Philipians 4:8 and hand over our thoughts to God.
I give you my thought life oh Lord! in Jesus name, Amen.

Love truly

"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
1John 3:8
We are encouraged to love our brothers and sisters in Christ and the needy around us in deed and in truth, that is words backed up by actions.
A brother in need of shelter rejoices to hear you love him with the love of Christ but will become confused what sort of love that is if you don't do anything practical to help his situation.
Not that you have to do all things yourself but be involved in one way or the other to help the persons need, you can talk to those that can help or can bring some people together to help.
Jesus Christ himself said it is better to give than to recieve and this same advice was also stressed by Paul in Acts 20:35. Therefore my dear ones to  love truly is to love in action. Happy New Month!

Right or Wrong?

Doing wrong leads to disgrace and scandalous behavior brings contempt
Proverbs 18:3
We have been created with willpower to do good or bad, right or wrong. As mothers, sisters and wives there are thousands of ways we are tempted to do wrong, act wrong and think wrong. When you have the spirit of God in you, he will order your steps, guiding you right and his words in you will be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Ananias and Sapphira did wrong by trying to deceive the apostles and was disgraced by the holy spirit and this brought about their death.
Children act up a lot because they are children and filled with curiosity not being aware of the dangers most times. You can choose to be harsh with them and regret later or be loving in your corrections bringing them closer to you.
When you act wrongly towards your spouse, children, friends and acquaintances most times you become  embarrassed at yourself (your foot in your mouth).
Children of God allow God to guide us in our behavior, it is written we should be quick to listen and slow to speak and as we said yesterday, esteem others higher than yourself then you would do no wrong by them.

Are you wise!

"So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise"
Ephesian 5:15
The way we live shows who we believe in. When you believe in Jesus Christ, you should live like one who has hope and faith. Inspite of your circumstances at any present time, we should not allow it to control us like a wind blowing leaves on the ground but as one who is standing on a rock. Live like one that has the knowledge that everything that has a beginning has an ending, live like one who has a God who is the almighty, divine provider and sufficient for all our needs.
A wise man knows there is time for everything and everyone under heavens and therefore no need to worry (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Pathway!

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.
Psalm 65:11
Tread Where Jesus Treads
Regardless of what experts say about the current economic situation, I have good news for you. As a child of God, your blessings this year are not dependent on the ebb and flow of the stock market. You can expect good things to happen to you this year because God’s Word declares it: “You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance”!
"God’s Word says it, but how do I see it?”
Great question! The key to experiencing the blessings lies in Psalm 65:11 itself—“Your paths drip with abundance”. In order to see His paths dripping with abundance, you would need to follow Him, wouldn’t you? So to experience the Lord’s goodness and abundance this year, keep listening to and beholding His grace and finished work. It’s easy to follow His leading when you are tuned to and meditating on His grace. And when you tread where He treads, you will run right into the blessings that He has already prepared for you! Inquire

And Jehoshaphat said unto the King of Israel, Enquire, i pray thee, at the word of the Lord today.
 IKings22:5(KJV)
This verse makes us to think of how we have lived our lives as children of God and whether we are living on our own terms or God's terms. Do we inquire of the Lord before we take decisions on issues affecting our lives, families, jobs, careers, ministries etc.?
We should know that the song "i surrender all" should mean more than it being a song and we should take it literally, live it literally and be the difference that the world needs.
We need to inquire of the Lord at all times if we have surrendered all. The NLT bible writes the passage more clearly Ikings22:5"Then Jehoshaphat added, "But first let's find out what the Lord says." That is a King still taking it into consideration that there is the King of kings. We should always remeber we have a God whose thoughts for us is for good and not for evil..........Jeremiah 29:11.

God's Word Causes Radical Change

by Rick Warren
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT)
I was once asked what the best translation of the Bible was. My answer: when you translate it into your life. That’s what Bible study is all about. If you’re not translating God’s Word into your life, you’re not studying the Bible the way God intended.
God gave us the Bible to transform us, not simply inform us. It should give us a bigger heart, not a bigger head. In the Book of James, we're told, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says” (James 1:22 NIV).
In other words, God wants our beliefs turned into behavior.
God makes his purpose for the Bible even more explicit in 2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work” (NLT).
The purpose of the Bible is more than just showing us what is wrong in our lives or how we should live. God gave us his Word to radically transform our lives.
The Bible describes itself in different ways. For example, it calls itself a hammer, a sword, and a scalpel. All of those are tools designed to make radical changes. God intends for the Bible to dramatically change our lives.
The Bible also describes God’s truth as milk, water, bread, and meat. What do all those things have in common? If you don’t eat or drink them regularly, you’ll die. We were never meant to live without the Bible.
The Bible is essential to our lives because it gives us life. In fact, the Bible also talks about Jesus as the Word of God. John 1:14 says, “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” God gave you the Living Word —Jesus — to be the author and finisher of your faith, and he gave you the written Word to prepare you to live out your faith.
Talk It Over
  • The Bible is more than a mere wisdom dispenser or repository of information. How do you see God using the Bible to transform your life?
  • Jesus is the Word of God. Talk about how intimacy with the Bible is connected to intimacy with Jesus

What is your life?

What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
James 4:14 (NKJV)
Are you aware that our lives is just like the sugar ants that crawl around when something sweet has been spilt and dies when we begin to clean the place. We were created for God's pleasure, to worship and praise him, when we fail to do so then we are making costly mistakes that will cost us our blessings, favor and even our health. IIJohn 5:4 "for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." therefore when we leave God out of our lives, what then is our lives? i ask myself this question. Please ask yourself too.

Testing

Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but the Lord tests the heart
Proverbs 17:3
In everything that we do or learn in life, a period of testing is involved to ensures that we are good or very good at what we learn. So it is spiritually, we need to go through trial moments to enable us to grow from glory to glory and for our hearts to be right with God. When we have trials our heart will reflect whether we have trust in God or not. Do we depend on him or not.
The Lord tests our heart so that as fire purifies silver and gold, we can also be purified and in the hour of trial we would stand! When our hearts become purified then we can know God's will and be able to walk on the straight and narrow. Proverbs 14:12-"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end therefore are ways of death."

From Joseph Prince

But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Isaiah 53:5, NLT
Both Forgiveness And Healing Are Yours
God loves you so much that He not only caused Jesus to carry your sins, but also your diseases at the cross. Your forgiveness and healing are both part of Jesus’ finished work at Calvary. He was crushed for your sins, and He was also scourged for your healing!
My friend, God has already healed you of all your diseases, afflictions and pains at the cross. You might have heard it taught that healing is a “bonus blessing” because it’s over and on top of salvation. But nothing could be further from the truth. Your salvation, purchased by Jesus at the cross, includes healing.
Today, because of the cross of Jesus, you have the right to complete wholeness, both within and without. Meditate on this powerful truth and receive the healing you are believing Him for!

Encouraged!

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace and be thankful.

Colossians 3:15

It has been a struggle to keep up with my writeups but i believe God will help me. When i remember how the disciples was finding it difficult to find time to pray and teach God's word because they were caring for the needy and how they took a major decision to bring in the Seven led by Stephen to take over the task and got them the much needed time, i begin to think it is time for to take such a decision.
It is written that i have been called to peace and also to cast all your cares upon the Lord for he cares for me!
The peace that surpasses understanding is His to give and we can only access it when we run to him.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10
God Is Not Out To Destroy You
The Bible tells us clearly that God is a God of love, and our God of love is a good God! He is a God who longs to do good to His people. In fact, God desires to load His children with benefits every day (Psalm 68:19)!
My friend, don’t ever be mistaken that a good God will give you sicknesses, diseases and all sorts of physical afflictions. God is constant and constantly good. Sicknesses, on the other hand, are always bad. They are part of the curse. Their purpose is to destroy a person.
Our good God gave us His Son, Jesus, so that you may not be destroyed but have life, and have it more abundantly! The Lord does not take away your life. Instead, He gives, multiplies and restores to you life and health. The more you meditate on and believe His love and goodness toward you, the more you’ll walk in an increasing measure of His health, wholeness and abundant life!

KINDNESS!

Encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today"
Hebrews 3:13 NASB

It is never too early to do a kindness to another person when the opportunity arises. The Lord is kind to us every second that we are alive and breathing, whenever our children are in good health and whenever we are able to stand in the face of adversity.
God does not wait for us to beg him before he is kind to us because his love for us while we were yet sinners made him to give his only begotten son to die for us on the cross for our salvation! (John 3:16-18). His death has availed us divine health, sound mind, divine provisions and victory over the enemies' plans.
He is kind to us when we prosper with a little effort and we find our coast being enlarged when we call him to bless us (1Chron. 4:9-10).
God's kindness knows no color or tribe, it is all encompassing drawing you closer to him daily. God's type of kindness is what we should be to those we come across in the course of living our lives on earth because we do not know when we will be called home and we paid nothing to receive kindness from God so don't expect payment for yours.
You cannot do a kindness too soon, because you never know how soon it will be too late! (God's little instruction book for women)

Meditate! (Joseph Prince)

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
Romans 11:6
Act Out Of Rest
Whether it is partaking of the Holy Communion or confessing God’s Word, do these things out of rest. Don’t feel as if you need to put the demand on yourself to be healed. My friend, you can’t earn your healing. It is something that God gives you by His grace.
Beloved, God wants you to see that Jesus has already paid for your healing. Today, He is so pleased with Jesus’ finished work that He is more than happy to bountifully supply all the healing and provision that you desire.
When you truly have a revelation of this, nothing will stop you from declaring His Word over yourself and running to the Lord’s table with thanksgiving and expectation. And when you act in faith out of rest, it won’t be long before you see your miracle manifest!

COME BOLDLY (Joseph Prince)

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
Come Boldly!
God has made you righteous through the cross of Jesus so that you can always come boldly into His presence and find a throne of grace—not judgment.
Whether you’re believing God for healing in your body or for some other provision, you need to know that God has made you righteous in His sight. Why? It’s so that you can take up His invitation to come boldly, always expecting “to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”, for the littlest to the most debilitating symptom in your body.
Today, come boldly to the One who loves you passionately and unconditionally. Come boldly to the One who knows every symptom in your body and who has the healing you need. He waits eagerly for you to draw boldly from His mercy and grace!
Be blessed with this word from Joseph Prince as i was.

Faithful!

Jesus said to the people who in him, "You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free"
John 8:31-32 NLT
It is very important that as children of God, we should remain faithful to his teaching because that is what can guide through the right path of faith, love and belief. When we are faithful to his teaching we would know his word and by its reason receive liberty to be all that we ought to be.
Being faithful to His teaching means believing his word and what it says about you. God's word said in the book of Deuteronomy 28:1 that if you are obedient to his commands that he will set you on high and also a lot of blessings were listed from verse Deuteronomy 28: 3-13 for those that would live a life of obedience to God's commands.
Therefore, when you believe God's word about you in any situation, you will encounter peace that surpasses all understanding because it is part of his promise to us if we believe.

Diligence!

Whatever your hands finds to do, do it with your might.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 NKJV.
Are you busy? or there is nothing to do? Don't be among those that believe that they can not do anything by themselves. We can do so much if only we would depend on God who is ever faithful and has promised to bless the works of our hands. God expects us to be doers not idlers or wastrels. At the entrance of the Holy Spirit into your life there should be entrance of an industrious spirit not a lazy one.
In 1Sam. 7:10- "Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hands finds to, for God is with you". God is still with us today and always, therefore the command is for you and i. We have so much substance within us deposited into us to release into the lives of those around us, i have a substance and you have too. We need to key into it, reviving it and using it to touch lives. As God asked Moses "What doyou have in your hand?" God used the walking stick to do wonders. Give God that which is in your hands or within you and he will surprise you!

Depend On God’s Unmerited Favor, Not Favoritism (Joseph Prince)

And the patriarchs, becoming envious, sold Joseph into Egypt. But God was with him and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
Acts 7:9–10

There is a significant difference between God’s unmerited favor and favoritism. God’s unmerited favor is based entirely on Jesus’ merit, and we received it through His finished work at the cross. We did nothing to deserve His favor. It is completely unmerited. Favoritism, however, stinks of self-effort. Individuals who rely on favoritism for promotion resort to apple-polishing, office politics, manipulative tactics, backstabbing and all kinds of compromises just to get what they want.
God has a higher and better way for you. It hurts Him to see His precious children groveling like sycophants just to get ahead in life. If a door closes, so be it! Believe with full confidence that God has a better way for you. You don’t have to depend on favoritism to succeed when you have God’s unmerited favor!
That was how Joseph operated. He depended on the Lord for his success. When Potiphar’s wife kept trying to seduce him to sleep with her, Joseph stood his ground on the firm foundation of God’s unmerited favor. He didn’t go for favoritism by doing what his boss’ wife wanted.
Beloved, like Joseph, know and rejoice that it is the Lord who is the source of your blessings and success. You don’t have to resort to trying to win the favor of significant people in your life. It is the Lord’s favor on you that sets you up for recognition, promotion and increase!

DO AS HE SAYS!!!!!

But his mother told the servants, "Do whatever    he tells you."
John 2:5 (NIV)
This is what expects from us, to do whatever he says at all times and because we profess to be his children. The word of God said that if we are willing and obedient servants we shall eat the good of the land (paraphased Isaiah 1:19). The servants at the wedding in Cana in Galilee were obedient and they ate the good of the land.
When the word of God says to rejoice if you are seeking God, then you can do nothing less than to rejoice even when it is difficult because it is written that we should glory in his holy name (1Chronicles 16:10 KJV).
I heard a testimony of a child that ate contaminated food and fell foaming at the mouth but was revived when the family raised their voices in praises which is one of the way we can rejoice in God presence. They obeyed the scriptures that said rejoice evermore 1Thessalonians 5:16 (KJV) and God stepped into their situation!
For us to be obedient is very important for us to key into the good God has planned for us. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling (Psams 2:11 KJV).
Do as he says!!!!!!

Are you a LIGHT?

"The light shines in the darkness, and the             darkness can never extinguish it"
John 1:5
The bible says we are the light of the world in Mathew 5:14. We are the light of the world not because of how fair we are, the clothes we wear or how intelligent we are. It is the light that comes from knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and saviour, the light that comes from living a holy life, loving each other truly with the love of God that does not bear grudges or think evil about another.
Darkness in this context is all about hatred, gossip, backbitin, slander, unforgiveness, lording it over others etc. When this darkness reside in you, it can only be dispelled not by flourescent bulbs or flood lights but by the presence of the true light Jesus Christ. He can alone can take away the darkness from our lives and ensures that electricity remains constant and there is no blackouts!
When you have the light in you, you have no choice but to do good and when you do good you will be rewarded just as it is written in Proverbs 14:14b "---good people recieve their reward." Do want a good reward?

Our Children!

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4(NIV)
This instructions is not just for fathers but also for mothers too. We are commanded to bring our children up in the knowledge of God. It means to teach them what is right and what is wrong, acceptable behaviours and unacceptable ones. It includes loving them and making the right knowledge that will guide their decisons when your are not there available to them.
As stories of children being sexually molested is on the rise, parents should wake upto their responsibilities of taking care of the children God has given them. I had the opportunity of listening to a teaching of a minister involved in children ministry and the stories i heard was so heart breaking! I learnt a lot from that presentation and i also understood that basically the problems start from us parents. We are swamped with so much to do and in the midst of it we forget our primary assignment which is to take care of this children, teach them, love them and guide them.
I will proffer the same advice we were given in program, show love to your children, be their friend and don't ever think your presence can be replaced by your presents!!!
God help us do our part and our best as parents in Jesus name!

YOU are living!

"So he is the God of the living, not the dead, for they are all alive to him"
 #Luke 20:38#
When you have a living God, nothing can be dead in your life. When you are sick, that is death to your health, when you are in lack that is death to your finances. It is written that our God is the God of the living not of the dead.
It can be so difficult to see your good health when you are down in sickness but it is very very possible because we have a God of impossibilities! Luke 1:37- For nothing is impossible with God! Believe you have a living God as your God and worry over any situation you find yourslf will not arise.
God of the living will avail you in your family, marriage, ministry and career in Jesus name!

Complete in Christ!

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4
Find Your Completion In Christ
Many people are in financial debt today because they are trying to find their security, identity and esteem in material things, instead of in Christ. So they end up buying things that they don’t need to impress people who really don’t care!
This erroneous mindset leads to the destructive habit of folks spending beyond their means, making only partial payments on their monthly credit card bills, and overextending themselves with mortgages they cannot afford and car loans they cannot service. Then, they end up asking God why there is no provision for their debts.
Beloved, being caught in this destructive habit and debt cycle is not God’s heart for His precious children. Let’s understand that having more things doesn’t complete us. Only Jesus can fill that vacuum. So find your security and completion in Christ. You have a treasure in you, One far more precious than anything money can buy. Anchor your security and identity in Jesus and delight yourself in Him alone!

Awesome God!

When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:1–3
Beyond All Expectations
When the Lord blesses you, He blesses you beyond what you expect. In the healing of the leper, Jesus reached out and touched the leper, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately, the man was healed.
Did you notice that Jesus touched the leper first before He healed him? I love these little gestures of Jesus! That simple touch restored a sense of humanity and dignity to the man who had not been touched for a long time. Because of his unclean and physically repulsive condition, no one wanted to be close to him, much less touch him.
Jesus knew that the leper needed more than just physical healing, so He gave above and beyond what the leper had hoped for. Beloved, that’s the love and over-supplying grace of your Savior! What is your lack today? As you meditate on the largeness of His grace toward you, know beyond any doubt that Jesus’ provision will exceed all your expectations! (excerpt from Joseph Prince).

Hand it to God!

The word of God says with God all things are possible! it is so true. when u invite God into everything that you do, he will take care of you and all that bothers you no matter how small.
If your child stammers, hand it over to God and believe that the child speaks well and it will happen because it written that at the mention of Jesus name every knee shall bow and every tongue shall proclaim that he is Lord. As long as your situation has a name then the name of Jesus will supersede it.
Our faith is very important to change situation that are disheartening to us and that is why he said to the centurion in Mathew 8:13 "And Jesus said unto the centurion, go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee----------". It is the same for us children of God today and forever because our God changeth not and his words remaineth true. I believe! Do you believe?

ASKING!

Luke 10:13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him (NLT)
We are encouraged to continue to ask God for that thing which we need and not to relent because he is a loving Father who will never fail us. He said in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 "For i know the plans i have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. That means that when we ask for good things, we should believe he wants us to have it and have faith that we would recieve it.
Do you want your children to excel in their studies? Do you want your husband to be favoured? God wants us to ask unceasingly and never fear that he wouldn't answer. Jeremiah 29:12 "In those days when you pray, i will listen". Believe God's words.

AUTHORITY!

Luke 10:19 Behold, i give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
*******
The authority exists in us when we give our life to Christ to handle situations that we come across daily in our families, career and business. This authority also works over our health if we believe. We need to believe we own this authority for it to work for us over our health, family, ministry, finances infact our entire life.
I exercised this authority over my health oce but i doubted and my healing didn't come just as we are warned in the book of James not to doubt when asking from God unless we won't recieve. It happened to me! When i decided to exercise it believing i that was diagonsed to have arthritis recieved my full healing!!!!!. It can happen for you over your family, marriage, business, job, ministry and finances etc.
Recieve the authority, it is yours to use when you accept Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour!

Be Generous!

Proverbs 11:25- The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
God has promised us continuos refreshment when we touch the lives of others. We can refresh others by praying for them, helping them physically by providing what we can for others to alleviate their need, pain or lack.
we need to refresh others in our community, churches and families as this can lead souls to God and make them to offer refreshment to others when they themselves have been refreshed.
Be generous in prayers, helping and giving and as God has promised he will definitely refresh us because he has promised and he never lies.

Gratitude for Grace

One of the most significant ways that we receive God’s generosity is through the gift of forgiveness. Jesus demonstrated the nature and extent of that forgiveness in this story. The woman sought Jesus because she recognized who he was, the Messiah. Church father Augustine (354–430) says that

she knew that he to whom she had come was able to make her whole; she approached then, not to the head of the Lord, but to his feet; and she who had walked long in evil, sought now the steps of uprightness. First she shed tears, the heart’s blood; and washed the Lord’s feet with the duty of confession. She wiped them with her hair, she kissed, she anointed them: she spake by her silence; she uttered not a word, but she manifested her devotion.

Simon, Jesus’ host, observed Jesus’ acceptance of the woman’s ministrations and thought that this proved Jesus was not a prophet. Ironically, Jesus read his thoughts. Augustine clarifies this passage:

Let now the Pharisee understand even by this, whether he was not able to see her sins, who could hear his thoughts. So then he put forth to the man a parable concerning two men, who owed to the same creditor. For he was desirous to heal the Pharisee also, that he might not eat bread at his house for nought; he hungered after him who was feeding him, he wished to reform him, to slay, to eat him, to pass him over into his own body.

So Jesus related to Simon the short parable, and Simon was forced to acknowledge that the one who has been forgiven most loves most. Jesus pointed out to Simon how little love he had shown for Jesus. He had not washed his feet, as was appropriate for an honored guest, nor had he anointed him, and he did not realize who Jesus was; he did not even acknowledge Jesus as a prophet. Moreover, Simon did not recognize that he was in need of a savior, that “there is no one righteous, not even one” (Ro 3:10). Augustine says,

O Pharisee, therefore dost thou love but little, because thou dost fondly think that but little is forgiven thee; not because little really is forgiven thee, but because thou thinkest that that which is forgiven is but little.

The woman, however, knew that she was a sinner, and she had faith that Jesus could forgive her. Even if Simon the Pharisee was a good, upstanding person with much less to forgive than the woman, this passage only serves to emphasize the fact that the Christian who begrudges God’s generosity to the outcast is in great need of forgiveness. It was the woman, not the “clean” Pharisee, who went away with Jesus’ forgiveness and Jesus’ blessing, “Go in peace” (Lk 7:50).

Think About It

•How did the woman in the story know who Jesus was and what he could do for her?

•If you heard Jesus was eating dinner at your neighbor’s house, how would you approach him?

•Do you identify more with the woman in the story or the host?

Pray About It

Lord, I turn to you in repentance and faith. Forgive me, cleanse me and give me peace.

This devotion is from the NIV Stewardship Study Bible by Zondervan. Used with permission.

Judging?

            Luke 6:37-
Do not judgeothers and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.
We are encouraged not to judge others that includes the way they do things, the way they talk or behave. We can correct but not in a judgemental way making them feel incompetent or foolish.(NLT)
As children of God, we should be compassionate in the way we handle people and try to understand where they are coming in the things they do. Don't always feel your way is the best (we are all guilty of this at one time or the other).
Recently, we got great news of a sister's safe delivery of an expected baby and i just wanted to be on top of everything and be in charge forgeting i had a family and required rest. My husband had to subtly ground me even when i argued he stood his ground and after a while of meditating on what he had said and looking inward, i took his side! If i had insisted on having my way i might have been overtaken by stress and i could have refused to see his way if  he had been high handed.
We need kindness when correcting others and if you are judging in your heart you can't be kind in handling the matter. When you judge, you see yourself as being better off, more cordinated, more sensible etc. Where do you think that places the person you want to correct?
Our saviour Jesus Christ is a compassionate father, we need to compassionate to our spouses, children, helps, colleaques and anyone that comes our way. Do not judge!

LIVING?

Mark 12:27a- "So he is the God of the living not the dead-----"
If you are still living then you have a powerful God on your side if you accept to worship and serve him.
If you feel that you are just going round in circles or that your endeavors or hardwork seems not to be yielding fruit then you have a living God who can revive all dead things in your life. Nothing is too difficult for God to do, because it is written that nothing is too difficult for God. He can turn what you think is a failure into a great success beyond your imaginations.
Come to him with your ideas and he will inject life into them, making them flourish. Bring your children giving you heartache to him and he will revive the good character and traits lying dormant in them. Bring that office situation that seems out of hand to him and he will give life to a right atmosphere that will favor you.
Sometimes we act as if God is dead and struggle with everything till we will enter grave in sickness or heartache. Children of the King of Kings do not struggle for anything. Let him be a living God to us.

WHAT DO YOU SOW?

Galatians 6:7,9- You will always harvest what you plant..... So lets not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up.
Don't give up caring for your family, being kind to those around you and loving your children even when it seems difficult to do so because you will reap the goodness later if not then.
Sometimes it is not long before we reap. If we sow shouting in our home, we will reap it from the children who will respond only to shouting and most times ignore rational talk. When we plant love in our homes, we reap love! Sow trust and you will reap trust also, it is so for everything in life because God has said so. So if we hunger for a better home/life then we must indulge in doing good and being kind.
Sow courtsey and reap friendship and plant kindness to reap love.

God's Faithfulness!

(Sorry for all the other days i didn't post, it was due to technical faults)

John14:12-14-
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do because I go unto my Father.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

God just requires us to believe in him and then ask for whatever we need and we will have it.
We need to believe good health is for us, prosperity is for us, victory and every good thing to help us in this life, even patience to endure trials when it comes our way because there is always a purpose for everything that happens in the life of a child of God.
It is written in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 that his thoughts for us is for good and not of evil to give us a hope and a future! God assures us of his faithfulness all through his word if only we can believe!
Are you sick? just believe and speak his word by His stripes i am healed! and God will fulfill his word in your life. Believe! believe! God is faithful!
Are you depressed or discouraged? He said come unto me all ye that labour and i will giv you rest! run to him!
Are you disturbed by any situation? He said he will give us peace that surpasseth understanding!
Just believe!

Demons Begged!!!!!

Mark5:12-13
The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.”  He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs.
This portion of the scripture sunddenly jumped out to me when i was studying my one year bible. It was like a bulb went off in my heart, my head, in fact entire system. Jesus answered the pleas of demons!!!! He actually gave them what they asked for! This is amazing!
Sometimes i would pray and then i would feel like my prayers didn't cross the ceiling (i wonder how many people feel this way) because i suddenly remember a sin or wrong that i did some time ago and immediately depression will step in. But after i read this pasage yesterday, i got full assurance that God hears me. He hears you because he never sleeps, he never slumbers, he never tires of hearing our prayers.
